Instructional Minutes as set by the State of California:

Every day has 7 hours and 35 minutes (Monday through Thursday) = 455 minutes per day
Total number of minutes for (Monday through Thursday) = 4 x 455 = 1,820 minutes
Friday will have four instructional hours = 285 minutes
Total number of minutes per week = 2,105 minutes

Total number of minutes per year = 2105 x 36 = 75,780 minutes

Requirements met:

64,800 minutes is the number of instructional minutes required by the state of California for 9-12.
For 4-8 grade: the number of instructional minutes 54,000 minutes, so the academy will be well over the required minutes

Friday Schedule is based on one hours classes:
(Early Release Friday)

Block 1: 7:50 – 9:09
Block 2: 9:03 – 10:13
Tutorial/Snack: 10:16 – 10:36
Block 3: 10:40 – 11:50
Block 4: 11:53 – 1:03
Lunch/Salah: 1:03 – 2:00
Block 5 and dismissal: 2:03 – 3:15

Friday alternating schedule: first Friday of the school calendar year is the A day subject, the next friday is the B-day subject based on a 45 days quarter system, 90 days semester, and 180 days school calendar year. A-days will have 90 days and B days will have 90 days at the end of the year. For semester courses, A-subject will have a total of 45 days and B-subject will also have 45 instructional days.
